Liberty expanding

Liberty LondonAnother large retailer is said to be looking at expanding their popup shop presence dependant on the success of their most recent store in Westfield Stratford City. Areas being considered include Brompton Road, Covent Garden, Canary Wharf along with Bluewater and designer outlet Bicester Village in Oxfordshire.

 The pop up shop scheme is not the firms first venture into opening shops separate to the flagship Regent Street department store, as in 2008 it opened on Sloane Street but suffered poor sales and closed a year later. Since then the business has been bought by private-equity firm BlueGem Capital and under the new owners and due to the success of the Westfield store Liberty is looking to open the new pop ups in the autumn.
